Robert L. Kieffer has been a licensed private detective in the state of Illinois since 1996 — bringing over 28 years of hands-on investigative experience to every case he handles. What began as a career rooted in law enforcement evolved into a dedicated private practice built on one principle: the truth matters, and clients deserve to know it.
Over nearly three decades, Robert has handled thousands of cases spanning domestic investigations, corporate fraud, background research, surveillance operations, skip tracing, and workers’ compensation fraud. His approach is methodical, discreet, and results-driven — every case receives his personal attention from start to finish.
Unlike large investigation firms where your case gets handed off to a junior investigator, at R7 Investigations you work directly with Robert. That means experienced judgment, direct communication, and accountability on every assignment.
Robert is fully licensed by the State of Illinois as a Licensed Private Detective (LPD) and carries all required professional credentials. All investigations are conducted legally, ethically, and in full compliance with state and federal law.
